A Monkey Forest and Tanahlot Tour We will journey into the countryside and make a stop to take a short walk (Approximately 300 metres) through scenic terraced rice fields, cultivated in unique Balinese style. Surrounding coconut trees, tropical scenery and the gentle flow of the river will introduce us to the magical Balinese culture. Our trip will be continued to Mengwi Temple, Monkey Forest and Tanah Lot. Mengwi "Taman Ayun" Temple is originally dating from 1634, this picturesque temple complex surrounded by a moat, has an elaborate stone entrance gate. It's well kept grassy courtyard boast numerous pavilion and multi-roofed MERU shrines with intricatelly carved wooden gates. Monkey Forest is a cluster of towering trees which are home to hundreds of Monkey who go about their way fearlessly in their temple haven, and hundreds of fruit bats who sleep by day and "hunt" by night. Kecak and Monkey Dance Tour No visit to Bali would be complete without seeing some of the island's colourful traditional dances. There are dozens of different dances - all a part of the fascinating Balinese culture. This tour takes you to the village of Batubulan to see some of these dances. The Kecak (Monkey) Dance is performed by a group of at least 50 men who dance in a circle around a blazing torch. During the Fire Dance the dancer becomes entranced and is able to dance on hot coals without feeling pain. The Sanghyang (Trance) Dance is traditionally performed as an exorcism to promote peace and health within the village.

Kintimani Lake and Volcano Tour First is the stone carving village of Batubulan to see the colourful and exciting Barong Dance. After the performance drive through the Balinese countryside to Mas, a village famous for its impressive woodcarvings. A stop is made at one of many carving factories where you can see artisans chipping intricate designs from blocks of wood. Next visit the mysterious Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave), which dates back to the 11th century. On arrival at Kintamani, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur with ribbons of black lava running down its peak into the valley below. The crater is holy and a sanctuary at the top is dedicated to the fertility goddess. Next to Mount Batur, Lake Batur shimmers like a sheet of blue glass - a fantastic fantastic photo opportunity. A stop is made for lunch (not included) at Kintamani. On the way back visit the Holy Springs and the village of Ubud which is renowned as the artistic heart of Bali.
