Our life together began as a story of destiny when Reno and I met at Burning Man in 2013. I was with my ex at the time and he with his. I was volunteering my time at the DMV and was working the lanes talking with all the mutant vehicle owners. I was well into my shift and stopped for a water break under the shade near the DMV office when he noticed that I'd practically become a lobster and cooked myself in the sun. He immediately had me move to a different job that provided shade and got me ice cold wet towels for my shoulders and sun screen to put on. We joke that he was more of a boyfriend and concerned about me in that situation than my actual boyfriend at the time was. So now we have a running joke about me putting on extra sunscreen where ever we go..... and when we/I forget to put some on I give him crap for not being the sunscreen police and reminding me.
We had run into each other on and off a few times at the event in the years to come, but it wasn't until 2016, I'd been single for a little over a year, that we ran into each other and realized we were staying in the same camp. I'd started working/volunteering with a different department and was in training to become a shift lead, so I was working nearly every day. Although we were now working for different departments, our shifts were pretty similar. So we spent a lot of our off time exploring the city as well as deep playa together. In all the years I've been going to Burning Man (Since '09) I'd never seen and really, truly enjoyed exploring as much of the city and the event as I did with him that year. In that short two weeks we'd become inseparable and that didn't stop after the event ended. The rest is, as the cliche' goes, history!

Our downhome country lifestyle makes our country ranch wedding no surprise to anyone. The ceremony begins at 3:30 p.m. and will have a casual dress attire, we are hoping for everyone to tune into their inner cowboy/cowgirl side. Jeans and a nice button down shirt, a nice summer dress and boots would be just fine. It won't be long now until I walk down the aisle in my wedding dress to join Reno at the altar! This will be an event to remember and we can't wait to share it with all of you! |
Please join us and celebrate our lives as Mr. and Mrs. Renollet! The guest cocktail hour will immediately follow our ceremony, to which we will join after taking family and wedding party photos. During the reception there will be drinks, dining, a live DJ and line dancing lessons, as well as late night smores next to the camp fire! |
